FAQs on Our Home Improvement Services

Do you have a question about DRD Home Services' kitchen, bathroom, and basement remodeling work? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information and a free estimate!

  • Where Can I See Samples of Your Remodeling Work?

We recommend starting with our website gallery page. In addition, we've partnered with Houzz and Porch to create online portfolios.

When you visit our Houzz gallery, you'll see some of our projects and feedback provided by some of our valued customers. We're proud to have earned distinction as one of the top four Omaha contractors to be featured on Porch, a service recommended by Lowe's. If you visit an Omaha-area Lowe's, they'll happily recommend DRD Home Services as a trusted partner.

You'll also find us listed on Pinterest, Google, and more.

  • Do You Provide Free Estimates?

We do! For most remodeling projects, we'll meet with you at your home for an initial consultation. We'll discuss your project, take measurements, and generate a preliminary cost, all free of charge.

  • How Long Does It Take To Get My Free Estimate?

We aim to provide you with your free estimate within two weeks of our initial meeting. Some projects are more complex and require more research to price materials, etc. We'll provide you with a response time during our initial site visit.

  • Can I Afford DRD Home Services?

We want to respect and work within your budget. During our initial consultation, we'll ask you about your project, your budget, and your financing. By opening that discussion early, we can avoid potential frustration later.

  • Do I Have to Hire a Designer or Architect?

We provide all necessary design services. Once you've signed the contract with us, you'll work with our designer. If your project requires engineering or architectural approval, we can arrange those services.

  • Can DRD Home Services Provide Just the Design Services?

No. Our design services support our customers and their projects. We do not provide design services on their own.

  • Can I Talk to Other DRD Home Services Clients?

We strongly believe that the testimonials of our past clients are beneficial in helping you decide if our company is the right choice for you. We can provide you with a list of clients who have used us for similar projects.

  • Is DRD Home Services Fully Insured?

Yes. Our company, our trade partners, and our employees carry full liability coverage.

  • How Will I Be Billed for My Project?

We require a down payment when an agreement is signed. The agreement will outline the payment schedule for the duration of your project.

  • Do You Accept Credit Cards for Remodeling Projects?

We do not typically accept credit card payments for remodeling projects.

  • Can I Hire My Subcontractors for Portions of My Project?

When we are given responsibility for all aspects of the job, we are better able to manage the schedule, budget, and quality. If you would like to have a specific contractor complete an aspect of the project, please let us know during the design phase. We will evaluate that contractor and make every effort to fulfill your request.

  • Can I Do Some Portions of the Project Myself?

In our experience, all aspects of comprehensive remodeling projects should be left to the professionals. When we are given responsibility for all aspects of the job, we are better able to manage the schedule, budget, and quality.

  • Will You Do Work Without a Building Permit?

If your project requires a building permit or zoning approval, we will not begin until all necessary documents and approvals are granted. Building code requirements and zoning ordinances are in place to protect the safety and interests of the homeowner. We acknowledge and honor the authority of the officials in public trust.

Some projects do not require building permits and zoning approvals.

  • How Will My Home Be Kept Clean and Safe During the Project?

Remodeling can be dusty, dirty work. We will install dust barriers during construction, but containment efforts are not 100% effective. We recommend that you remove or protect valuables that are near the project site. We'll take measures to secure the areas of your home under construction.

For your safety, we ask that you remain outside the project site while the work is ongoing. This is particularly important if you have pets or small children. When necessary, we will provide temporary security barriers over window openings and doorways.
